We should be taking steps to ensure China does not become the next world power.

It shocks me that no one talks about what China is doing to their people and the fact that they’re poised to become the next world power. Within the next 30 years China will challenge American superiority in the arena of economics and military might. That is a thought which should scare you. Say what you will about American decision making in the last few decades but it is no where close to what China is. Say what you want about the bad things America has done, but China is quickly approaching Nazi levels of oppression and control of its people. As an American I am not saying that the US will last forever or that we have had our shit together lately, it’s quiet the opposite. But China is not the nation you want to replace America when we fall as the world power.

Here are some examples of what I’m talking about:

Chinese Oppression of the Tibetans

China and Hong Kong

China and the Uighur

Countries which do this to their people are not nations you want leading the world. Period.

Edit 2: I’ve updated my post removing the phrase “America only shoots itself in the foot” cause further thought on that proved me wrong. Also, I’ve reworded my final statement to be less confusing.
