Daniel Radcliffe and Robert Pattinson have each starred in big budget, huge franchise movies and used that fame to make bizarre, thought provoking and wonderful films, and cinema is better for it.

From The Lighthouse to Swiss Army Man, Horns to Good Time, High Life to Guns Akimbo, all the way round, seemingly full circle in the big franchise game to The Batman - these two have seemingly done away with the need to make big studio films, and only made things they want to make. Even Pattinson with The Batman, this seems like the only version of batman he would take on.

I’m such a fan of these guys and they’re so much more than the huge franchise films that established them.
