Being offended on behalf of a group you are not part of is the ultimate privilege and does a lot more harm than good

I have seen far to many times people of privileged life style getting offended in behalf of people they think needs their "protection", without even asking their opinions first.

Most of the times, they bring forth some extreme version of a movement that ends up hurting the image of the movement itself or sucking away all the attention away of the real problems its trying to solve, taking over the movement for virtue signaling.

Also, having so little problems that you are trying to find new ones on behalf of other people is the ultimate privilege imo.

Second edit: this post was meant to say that you should speak with the minority you might feel has been hurt and read some opinions of them before going full cancel culture and agressive on people. Your voice might end up silencing the people you were trying to protect while making everything worse. JUST TO MAKE THIS CLEAR: I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE VIOLATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS CASES

Ps. I had a lot of great discussions with redditors here, and it was interesting. However i will be leaving for now.
